Frame Structures with Anning class

Anning’s new Design and Technology topic this half term is Frame Structures.

The children were challenged to build a structure outside – it wasn’t free standing!

We then proved the theory of triangulation.

We looked at a square structure and a triangle structure and found that square structures can change their shape, whereas triangles are rigid!

Did you know?… several triangles together in a structure is called a ‘truss’.
