Outdoor Play & Learning Programme Progress

Investment in the OPAL programme shows signs of success.

Over the last few months, the children at Theddlethorpe Academy have been enjoying their OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) playtime.

With lots of activities available, the children are able to ‘run off steam’ before heading back to the classroom!

The two-year programme will help transform children’s playtimes into rich spaces of creative expression.

The programme also means every child will be supported by knowledgeable staff members who will assist them in creating infinite playtime challenges.

Susan Cook, Principal and Curricular Lead for Play at Theddlethorpe Academy, said: “This is a programme that we will commit to ensure that we develop creative, stimulating play opportunities for our children.

We look forward to the future results and seeing big smiles on all their faces.”

Victoria Edwards, Play Coordinator, said: “It will allow all children to access great outdoor play and provide them with a variety of stimulating opportunities for creative play.”
