Dear Parent/Carer

Children In Need

Theddlethorpe Academy raised £160.24 for Children in Need. I would like to say a huge thank you on behalf of myself and the staff for your continued generosity and support for this very worthwhile charity.

Samaritan's Purse Shoe Box Appeal

The Shoe Box Appeal has been very successful with a total of 28 shoeboxes being donated. Again, thank you for being so generous. These gifts will make a difference to some children who are not as fortunate at this special time of year.

Christmas Lunch & Christmas Jumper Day

Christmas lunch is on Wednesday 13 December. The Christmas lunch menu is attached to this newsletter. Even if your child normally has pack up for their lunch, you can order a Christmas lunch via Aspen's website just for this one day, using the code 882114. The lunch will have to be ordered by Friday 8 December. If you require help ordering a lunch please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Tuplin, administration officer.

The official date for wearing Christmas jumpers, to raise awareness for Save the Children, is Friday 15 December, however we are having our Christmas jumper day on Wednesday 13 December. All children are allowed to wear a Christmas jumper on this day whether they are having a packed lunch or hot Christmas dinner. Children are allowed to bring a Christmas cracker to pull at lunchtime.

Christmas Performance Dates

The Christmas performances will take place on Tuesday 12 December and Thursday 14 December.

Tuesday 12 December:
Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6 combined performance from 10am to 11am
FS2, Year 1, Year 2 combined performance from 2pm to 3pm

Thursday 14 December:
FS2, Year 1, Year 2 combined performance from 10am to 11am
Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6 combined performance from 2pm to 3pm

We will contact parents/guardians nearer the time to ask which performance they would like to attend and how many people will be attending.

School Uniform

With the ever-changing fashions in footwear, some parents have asked for guidance regarding which shoes are acceptable as part of the school uniform. There are some images on our website to show you which design of shoes are acceptable for boys and girls. High heeled shoes and wedges are not acceptable for girls to wear.

Could I please remind parents that parking on the zig zag lines outside Theddlethorpe Academy is not allowed and is dangerous for when children are arriving at and leaving school.

Yours faithfully

M White
