World Book Day - Thursday 8 March

5 March 2018

Dear Parent/Carer

RE: World Book Day – Thursday 8 March 2018

Due to the school being closed last Thursday, World Book Day has been re-arranged to take place this week on Thursday 8 March. Here at Theddlethorpe Academy we will be taking the opportunity to celebrate and encourage a love of reading. On World Book day we would like the children to bring in their current favourite book to school.

Dressing up is not compulsory, however, if your child would like to dress up as a book character, possibly from the book they choose to bring in, then this is fine. Alternatively your child can dress in their school uniform as normal but still bring their favourite book into school to share with their peers.

Lessons throughout the day will be based around a book chosen by teachers and will cover a range of curriculum areas.

Children will be bringing home their £1 book voucher home today to enable them to purchase a new book if they wish.

We look forward to a fun, but educational time and to seeing all the costumes and the work produced throughout this exciting day.

Yours sincerely
