A Christmas Cracker!

Theddlethorpe Academy hosted their very first Christmas Fayre on Friday.

The staff and pupils of the Academy organised a brilliantly festive and well-presented fayre of stalls to get everyone into the Christmas spirit!

Principal Susan Cook said: “I could not have been more thrilled with everyone; everything went off without any problems, and there were a wide variety of raffle prizes to choose from in addition to a large selection of products to purchase.”

The school were thrilled to have received so many donations for raffle prizes. These included swimming vouchers from Puddleducks to be used in Woodhall Spa and Magna Vitae, assorted vouchers for Mirage, multiple vouchers for the Coffee Lounge and Cheeky Monkeys, a meal for two at the Wagon and Horses and many more prizes including, wine, chocolates and vouchers.

One parent commented: “It was a lovely Christmassy afternoon and the children did a wonderful job. They were very polite and seeing Santa got my little ones so excited! Amazing staff and school.”

Another added: “We were super impressed with the lovely Christmas Fayre. It was lovely and all the children that manned the stalls did the school proud! They were very well behaved a there was a good variety of items to buy.”

A parent thanked the Academy for such a lovely afternoon and said that they were ‘blown away by the polite and friendly manner that the children showed.’

There were a variety of stalls and it was mentioned that you could tell how hard the pupils and staff had worked on the event.

A comment left by parents noted that they “can’t wait for the next one!”

Another parent noted how many turned out to visit the fayre and said: “Everyone looked to be having lots of fun. It’s so lovely to be able to come into school and share these moments with our children. Everyone put in so much effort and I think it definitely paid off.”

Mrs Cook added: “I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to everyone who attended our Christmas Fayre, demonstrated their support for us, and pitched in to help us in any way they could. We are really proud of the children!

With the money raised, we will be able to enhance our outside spaces, contribute to our mini bus fund, and support our special needs even further in school.”
