Reception class pupil Leo Searing shows off his snail shell on the outdoor learning walk.
Learning inside and outside the classroom gave Reception children at Theddlethorpe Academy the chance to examine nature more closely on an Autumn walk.
Outdoor learning encourages children to think of learning as an ongoing process instead of just something that happens in the classroom. By collecting the objects around them such as snail shells, leaves, flowers and feathers, the children were able to tap into their creativity and their imagination. The experience also helps to create a positive attitude to their learning.
