Christmas Stars!

Children at Theddlethorpe Academy gave some wonderful performances to welcome in the Christmas season last week.

Pupils in Foundation Stage took part in The Big Little Nativity. It was narrated by Miss Anderson with Poppy as Mary, Eddie as Joseph, Henry as the Angel Gabriel, Luna as The Star and Jack as the Inkeeper.

There were songs throughout and the children put on a great show for the parents and relatives who came to support them. They did a fantastic job.

Key Stage 1 put on a great performance of Baarmy Bethlehem.

The story follows Cheeky, Rascal and Scamp, three party animal sheep who see Bethlehem filling up and assume there is a big celebration going on.

They do not want to miss out, so escape from their flock and make their way into the town.

They find crowds and lots of noise, but no party. They continued their search and come across the real reason why they should be having a party in a quiet, peaceful stable, when Jesus is born.

The show included great songs like Baa Baa Boogie and Hello Shepherds! creating a wonderful show for their families and fellow pupils who came to watch the show.

Principal Susan Cook said: “The children have worked very hard on their Christmas shows this year and it’s really paid off. They all did a wonderful job and put on fantastic shows for us.

I would like to thank all of the parents and relatives who came along to support the children, the staff who organised the shows, costumes and rehearsals and of course to the children for putting on such wonderful shows to get us in the festive mood.”
