Experiment with Nursery class!

In Nursery, the children have been looking at different materials and their properties.

To help them to understand what waterproof meant, they made an umbrella using different materials to try and stop the water getting on to a doll.

They had to decide whether tissues, crepe paper, cotton wool or plastic would be suitable then had lots of fun holding the doll and the umbrella while water was poured over to see what happened.

Some of the materials lead to a very soggy doll but the plastic was fantastic.
