Finding Chester!

Rhubarb Theatre visited the Academy with their production, Finding Chester.

The pupils had a fantastic time watching the performance.

It really was a kaleidoscope of visual fantasy.

They were fully invested in finding Chester – spoiler alert – Chester is back safe and sound with mum after visiting many cities north and south of England in a delivery van!

The theatre company displayed incredible skill moving around the stage, positioning props and speedy costume changes.

The children were able to learn about these skills during the question and answer time at the end of the production.

We particularly enjoyed learning about how the shadow screens work and the skill behind puppeteering.
