Hindu Day!

Pupils were treated to a visit from Sunita at The Indian Experience on the last day of term.

Sunita told the Nursery and Reception children the story of Rama and Sita and showed them a sari and diva lamps.

The children loved listening to the story and got involved with all of the character voices and actions.

Key stages 1 and 2 then took part in dance workshops.

Escaping the pouring rain with Sunita, they learnt four traditional dances and dressed in beautiful traditional clothing.

Each class had a King, Queen, Prince and Princess who were dressed by Sunita, the rest of the class then joined in with getting dressed ready for their dances.

Each dance was led by Sunita and every pupil got involved.

It was a great day for everyone.
