OPAL Programme in full swing!

We are now halfway through our OPAL journey.

OPAL is a two-year programme dedicated to Outdoor Play and Learning.

The aim of the programme is to transform children's playtimes into rich spaces of creative expression.

So far, it has been a great success – more children are loving being outside, no matter what the weather, as there is now so much more to do.

Whether it is playing with tyres and planks, digging in the sand pit, enjoying imaginative play in the small world area or exploring the wicker baskets, OPAL is offering exciting activities for all.

Principal of Theddlethorpe Academy, Susan Cook said: "I would like to offer a huge thanks to all the parents and carers who attended our afternoon of play and a special thank you to those who have donated toys, materials and handmade items to help us with this programme."

The Academy as a whole has received many positive comments:

"The children had a great time. Good opportunity for them to use their imagination and be creative in a fun environment."

"Great idea, anything different and challenging is worth a try."
