Theddlethorpe Academy pupils used their imagination to design hand puppets in the shape of animals, characters or even themselves. They designed their ideas on paper first, using the colours they wanted. Next, they made a list of the materials and decorations they wanted to use and had to think about what would look the most realistic. The pupils independently sewed their puppets together and used the decorations to bring them to life.
Principal Susan Cook said: "Using the puppets was an excellent way to get the children motivated to communicate, and playing with the puppets helped expand their imagination and motivated new learning."
