Story Inspires Variety Of Superworms

Children in FS2 made their very own superworms after reading the story Superworm. They looked carefully at photos of worms and had to think about whether they were going to make them fat, thin, long or short.

They were each given a ball of clay and had to make it into a worm by rolling it on the table. Some children wanted to make long worms and discovered if they used two hands it would make the worm longer and longer! They gave their worms eyes and, after looking at the photos, noticed they had lines along them so used the tools to make marks into the clay.

Some children said it was cold and gooey, others said it was smooth and soft.
